If you are to re-grease our tools it is best to grease the moving variables within the tool. We most commonly apply grease on the pawls of our ratchets. In addition, we like to apply grease on the housing or internal ratchet head.
In Japan, during the manufacturing process we use CRC to grease our tools. Do note that all tools are pre-greased and technically do not need extra grease added upon purchase.
However, if you do prefer to grease your tools we recommend using CRC or WD-40.
