Why Is My Order Backordered When It Was In Stock at Purchase?

We understand how frustrating it can be to place an order for an item listed as "in stock," only to find out afterward that it's backordered. Here's why this can happen and what you can do about it.

Real-Time Inventory & Sudden Demand

Although an item may appear in stock at the time of purchase, it can become backordered shortly after due to high order volume. This typically happens when multiple customers purchase the same item in a short time frame—temporarily exhausting our inventory before our system updates.

Busy Periods & Promotions

During sales events, seasonal peaks, or special promotions, inventory can move faster than usual. While we strive to maintain accurate stock levels, occasional oversells can occur despite our best efforts.

What Happens Next?

  • Backordered Orders: If your order includes a backordered item, we will hold the entire order until all items are available.

  • Partial Shipments Available: If you’d like us to ship the available items first, you can request a partial shipment.
